Parent/Student Handbook

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year. This handbook outlines Bella Romero Academy of Applied Technology’s policies and procedures. In addition to this handbook, District 6 developed a Parent-Student Handbook (District 6 Handbook) that includes more detailed information regarding disciplinary information, as well as the rights and responsibilities of students and parents. Students and parents are expected to review the information contained in the Bella Romero Academy Handbook and the District 6 Handbook carefully. Welcome to Bella’s Family and a new school year! We feel honored to partner with you to make your child’s dreams come true. We are driven each day to live our vision: Every student graduates high school at a minimum to make their dreams come true. We appreciate that the parents in this family are supportive and motivated to work together with that goal in mind and we look forward to partnering with you this year.

We care so deeply about students here that we track their attendance, behavior, and achievement all the way through 12th grade. We work to set up support systems and extra help for students that are having difficulty and we personally visit all the high schools in town that have Romero Academy alumni enrolled. Furthermore, we attend the graduation ceremonies for these students and then place their cap and gown picture on our “Wall of Fame” in the main lobby of the 4-8 campus. To support our vision, we have created a kindergarten through eighth grade environment and though a split campus, we are one family.

The students at Romero Academy live the family values by demonstrating consistent attendance, positive behavior, and excellent achievement. The key indicators in each of these areas show that this is a great school and that we are continuously improving our results over time. We feel lucky to come to a place every day that is filled with wonderful students, dedicated staff members, and fantastic parents.
