Parent Pick-Up and Drop-Off

K-3 Campus

It is our hope to make every area of the K-3 campus a safe place for students and adults. During student drop off and pick-up times please be patient and aware of other students, adults, and traffic. If you plan to drop children off at our campus, please drive through the parking lot. If you need to talk to someone in the school building, please park in the parking lot in a designated parking area, then proceed inside to the front office. If you plan to pick students up from school during the school day, please follow the same process. If you plan to pick students up at the end of the school day, please talk to each of your children and designate a consistent pick-up location. Examples of safe pick-up locations are: Balsam Ave in front of the school, on the sidewalk outlining the parking lot, or within East Memorial Park. To assist us in keeping the parking lot safe and efficient, please park in designated areas at all times.

4-8 Campus

In order to keep students safe, please drop off and / or pick students up in the front parking lot. Please use the standing lane (closest to the sidewalk) for entering and exiting vehicles. Remember that the outside lane (closest to the parked cars) is for driving through only. Please follow the traffic patterns, only picking up students where teachers are supervising. If parking is necessary, please park only in the designated area and accompany students to and from vehicles using the designated crosswalks.

Bus Transportation

To provide safe transportation for all students, the bus rules must be followed while waiting for the bus (at bus stops and at school) and while riding. The most critical rules are: a) bottoms must be on the seat, b) keep hands, feet, and all other items to one’s self, and c) talk in a quiet voice.

Bus riding privileges may be denied to any child who does not use appropriate behavior while waiting for the bus or while on the bus. Parents will be contacted prior to a child being denied bus transportation to and from school. Bus rules also apply to field trips where transportation is provided. All regular bus students will be put on the bus unless the school is notified otherwise by the parents.
